Spider-Man: Brand New Day may finally be teasing its inaugural Marvel Cinematic Universe trailer, hinting at a 2026 release window. After nearly five years since Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters in 2021, Tom Holland’s next MCU entry is positioned as a pivotal piece of Phase 6.
As 2025 winds down, Sony Pictures UK stirred anticipation with a cryptic social post that could signal an imminent reveal for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The company’s X post read, “all we want for christmas is @tomholland1996,” accompanied by eyes and wrapped-gift emojis, implying fresh footage could drop during the holiday season. This December has already been busy for superhero trailers, with DC Studios unveiling the first teaser for Supergirl.
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios is ramping up its marketing for another potential MCU blockbuster slated for 2026, as multiple trailers for Avengers: Doomsday are slated to roll out this month. As of this article’s publication, Brand New Day remains seven months from its theatrical bow.
Although the Brand New Day storyline has been shrouded in secrecy, early indications suggest a narrative that precedes Avengers: Doomsday. Tom Holland’s appearance is expected to serve as the last MCU film before the franchise’s next wave of Avengers adventures.
A first trailer could illuminate the mystery surrounding the Brand New Day cast, including the roles of actors such as Sadie Sink. Viewers might also get the first look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and a return from Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.
With filming wrapped, several MCU television shows are set to debut on Disney+ in 2026. The Wonder Man series launches on January 27, 2026, Daredevil: Born Again returns for a second season in March, and VisionQuest is planned for later in the year.
