Get ready for an exclusive peek inside Guy Sebastian's extravagant $10 million Maroubra mansion, a place that has sparked quite the neighborhood feud!
The talented 44-year-old singer recently shared a hilarious drone tour on Instagram, showcasing his living room, gym, and backyard. But here's where it gets chaotic and controversial... the drone took a life of its own, repeatedly crashing into Guy!
Fans loved the 18-second video, with many suggesting Guy should keep the drone for future entertainment. One fan joked, "Packaging should come with a warning, 'Don't try this at home'!"
"The flinching is the best part!" said another fan, adding to the laughter.
The Battle Scars singer and his wife Jules invested $3.1 million in this property back in 2013 and spent nearly three years crafting their dream home, with building costs estimated at a whopping $7 million.
Locals have nicknamed the estate 'Fort Guy,' and it has been the center of a long-standing battle with a neighbor. Since 2017, there have been various claims and legal battles between Guy and his neighbor, Phillip Hanslow.
Guy's home sits on a spacious 1400 sqm, while Hanslow's property is a more modest 325 sqm. Guy has expressed his awe at owning such a grand home, saying, "We didn't grow up in houses like this. Every day, we look at each other and say, 'Why is this us?' But there is beauty in feeling like an alien in your own space. You never fail to appreciate it."
However, it seems his neighbor doesn't share the same sentiment. Mr. Hanslow has claimed that Guy is paranoid about security and has installed a large security camera, allowing Guy to see wherever he goes on the property.
"We're going to have to sell. We're too old for this," Mr. Hanslow said.
Guy, for his part, wishes he had never fallen out with his neighbor. The dispute, which has lasted over five years, has taken a toll on him. He told The Daily Telegraph, "It is something that is out of my hands. I have had to put up with a lot of things that have been said... but I can't keep fighting all of that anymore."
This story raises questions about the complexities of neighborly relations and the challenges that come with living in close proximity to others. What do you think? Should Guy and his neighbor find a way to resolve their differences, or is this a case of irreconcilable differences? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
