The drama is real, folks! Ashley Tisdale, of High School Musical fame, has found herself in the middle of a very public mom-group feud, and the hosts of 'The View' are weighing in. But why did she choose to air her grievances so openly?
Co-host Joy Behar kicked off the discussion, questioning Tisdale's decision to share the details of her 'toxic' mom group breakup in The Cut. The essay revealed that Tisdale cut ties with the group, allegedly because she felt excluded. Behar's simple question, "Would you announce that you were leaving like that? Or just stop talking?" perfectly captures the heart of the matter.
Sara Haines chimed in, calling Tisdale's public confession the most 'high school' part of the whole situation. She suggested a more straightforward approach: "You just drop out, you just go." Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed that 'toxic mom culture is a thing,' but Ana Navarro wondered why Tisdale felt the need to go through so many steps. "Why can’t you just leave the conversation, and get it out of your head and out of your life?" Navarro pointed out, referencing Whoopi Goldberg's tendency to simply exit group chats on the show.
Here's where it gets controversial... Behar also expressed her dislike for terms like 'toxic moms' and 'mean girls,' suggesting it's all 'very anti-female.'
Tisdale's essay, published earlier this month, seemingly accused her former star-studded mom group of making her feel excluded and 'not cool enough.' While she didn't name names, the group is rumored to include the likes of Mandy Moore, Meghan Trainor, and Hilary Duff.
And this is the part most people miss... The fallout didn't stop there. Hilary Duff's husband, Matthew Koma, seemingly weighed in with a cryptic Instagram Story, hinting that Tisdale was 'self-obsessed' and 'tone-deaf.' Meghan Trainor's husband, Daryl Sabara, offered a more measured response, stating there was 'no drama' from their side and wishing Tisdale well.
An insider revealed to Page Six that the split stemmed from a 'myriad of things, not just one specific' issue. Another source even went so far as to call Tisdale 'insufferable,' claiming the rift had been a long time coming.
